UPDATE @ 14 November 2022 – With the recent spike in COVID-19 cases we encourage everyone to please follow the guidelines from NSW Health.
If you have cold and flu like symptoms please do a rapid antigen test (RAT). It is no longer mandatory to self-isolate if you test positive, but it is strongly recommended that you stay home and take steps to protect others.
The Bondi2Berry COVID-19 policy is such that if you have tested positive to COVID-19 in the 7 days leading up to event day, we ask that you do not participate in the event.
On event day we will implement a number of safety measures, including hand sanitiser at the start, pitstops and finish. All riders will need to hand sanitise prior to entering the pitstops. When riding in the pack, please be mindful of others around you and do not blow your nose or spit whilst riding in the pack.
Please contact us if you have any concerns or queries relating to this.

UPDATE @ 11 October 2021 – At this point in time, we are confident that Bondi2Berry 2021 will be going ahead on Saturday 20 November 2021. Only riders and event crew who are double vaccinated will be able to participate. This includes training rides, and proof of vaccination will need to be displayed.
Should Bondi2Berry 2021 be forced to change in any way as a result of COVID-19 restrictions or lockdowns, we will have a contingency route for event day as applicable (for example an out and back route, or a reduced distance or an amended finish location), however Bondi2Berry 2021 will not be postponed or rescheduled.
As part of our recent planning, we have asked you for personal information regarding your COVID-19 vaccination status. Please know that Bondi2Berry Incorporated will not disclose your personal information unless we are permitted or authorised by law to do so. For example, Bondi2Berry Incorporated may disclose your personal information in order to comply with contact tracing requirements conducted by a state health authority. If we need to disclose your personal information for contact tracing purposes, we will only disclose your personal information to the relevant health authority when they request it. Please contact us if you have any concerns or queries relating to this.

UPDATE @ 21 September 2021 – In light of recent announcements by the Government on the NSW ‘roadmap’ once double dose vaccinations rate hit 70%, it is anticipated that Bondi2Berry will only receive approval from authorities to take place with only those riders and event volunteers who are double vaccinated or have a medical exemption.
We appreciate that this information may not appease everyone, and as a result we will offer a refund (minus admin and processing fee of $10) to anyone who wishes to withdrawn from this year’s ride. Please email us to confirm if you would like a refund and it will be processed within 7 days.

UPDATE @ 2 August 2021 – Due to COVID-19 restrictions Bondi2Berry 2021 has been rescheduled to Saturday 20 November 2021. All riders will receive automatic entry into the rescheduled event, however please see Policy details below if this new date does not work for you and options available. Please email us (bondi2berry@gmail.com) if you have any questions.

UPDATE @ 13 July 2021 – The 2021 Bondi2Berry Ride to Remember is currently scheduled for Saturday 11 September 2021. We remain positive that the COVID-19 pandemic won’t affect the event and we are planning on the event taking place.
There are currently restrictions in greater Sydney, and we will monitor what this means for in person training rides, which have been postponed to August. You are still able to exercise, and ride your bike, adhering to the current restrictions (maximum of 2 people or with your direct household, within your LGA or 10km radius of your home). We encourage all Bondi2Berry riders to continue to train and get out for some long training rides. It will all help once we are able to get together in what we hope is the not too distant future.
While we remain positive, we are unable to predict what the environment will be in September. As such we have decided to implement our COVID-19 Policy. This policy will apply to all riders who have already registered, and any future rider registrations, for Bondi2Berry 2021.
If Government restrictions on mass gatherings and staging events lead to Bondi2Berry 2021 needing to be rescheduled, all riders will receive automatic entry into the rescheduled event date. If the new date is unsuitable, or Bondi2Berry 2021 is cancelled, then riders will receive a credit for Bondi2Berry 2022 (date yet to be announced). If riders are unable to participate in the rescheduled 2021 date, or Bondi2Berry 2022, then a refund of your registration fee will be issued (minus admin and processing fee of $10).
We hope this provides some clarity on the future of the ride if affected by COVID-19. Please email us (bondi2berry@gmail.com) if you have any questions.
Please follow the restrictions and stay safe.
Kind regards
Bondi2Berry Committee
